Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of at-least 15-20 people, provide them mentorship, direction, support and growth plans for team members.
- Own the end-to-end DevOps practice, driving strategic initiatives to improve processes, performance, and scalability across the organization.
- This role is focused on management, leadership, and strategic direction, rather than daily technical tasks (no hands on)
- Provides domain expertise on cloud technologies (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda,
- CloudFormation, ECS, EKS, Route 53, etc.), along with expertise in Infrastructure as Code, serverless, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, serving as a strategic thought leader in DevOps technologies.
- Identify hiring needs, participate in the hiring process, and onboard new team members.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in an environment with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, and evaluate their potential for adoption.
- Drive automation efforts to reduce manual effort, enhance reliability, and increase operational efficiency
Requirements
- B.Tech/B.E/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12+ years in DevOps, with at least 2+ years in a people management role.
- Proven experience in managing a DevOps/Infra team of 15 or more people
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of driving projects to completion with minimal direction.
