App Engine Scheduler (CloudKeeper Tuner - GCP)

The Scheduler module in CK Tuner now supports Google App Engine, alongside Virtual Machines, Cloud SQL, and Managed Instance Groups (MIGs). Customers can schedule eligible App Engine versions to automatically stop during off-hours and restart when required, helping reduce unnecessary compute costs.

The new App Engine tab provides visibility into Scheduler Coverage, Forecasted Spend, Savings Achieved, and Potential Savings, while allowing users to manage scheduling for individual App Engine versions. Customers can view service details, version status, deployment region, and enable or disable scheduling directly from the resource list.

Scheduling is supported only for Manual Scaling versions running in the App Engine Standard environment. Versions using Automatic Scaling, the Flexible environment, or zero running instances are either ineligible for scheduling or do not display potential savings, ensuring accurate cost optimization insights.
