GCP Resource Scheduler MIG (CloudKeeper Tuner - GCP)

The GCP Resource-Based Scheduler now supports Stateless Managed Instance Groups (MIGs), allowing customers to automate start and stop operations to reduce compute costs during off-hours. The feature supports both Zonal and Regional MIGs and intelligently handles workloads with or without autoscaling by restoring their original configuration when restarted.

A new MIG tab in the Scheduler dashboard provides a centralized view of eligible resources, including capacity, autoscaler mode, status, potential savings, and scheduler state. Customers can configure recurring schedules based on preferred days and times, enabling cost optimization with minimal operational effort.

Only Stateless MIGs are currently supported. Stateful MIGs, Unmanaged Instance Groups, and MIGs with ASG Scale Out configurations are not eligible for scheduling.
